Lets not speculate on what the announcement will contain. The 30th is not that far away.

I'm reading the discussion on facebook right now, and I'ts insteresting how people reacting there. All the "I want this route and that loco", few mentioned multiplayer, but no one wants new features like better distant scenery, improved sound engine, modern processors and graphics support etc. ....strange.
I'm getting old maybe.. !**conf**!

People confuse what is basically a game engine upgrade with DLC a lot.

I've noticed the facebook discussion to be disappointing. Everyone is already complaining! For what?! You don't have any details yet!

If I were an RSC employee, I would get really tired of all the negative feedback. I think people need to be a bit more appreciative of the hard work that's put in! I'm not saying that criticism isn't allowed, but most of the facebook go about it in an unnecessary way.

Anywho, I know that July 30th isn't that far away, but it sure feels like it all of a sudden! *!!wink!!*

Interesting, new default routes yet again .... What would an improved Donner Pass bring?

Like some other poster, I am more interested in much needed technical improvements than in included DLC.

... waiting till we hear more definite news as to which, what and when ...

I expect it would be the same as last year where you get the technology upgrade for free however if you want to routes you have buy the new version (or the routes).

I already own 2 out of 3 routes so I probably wouldn't pay to get the German route however the technology change from 2012 to 2013 was very impressive to me. Much more stable and better performance. I hope that the move to 2014 will have a similar improvement as the last upgrade - I think there is still a fair bit of room for improvement as far as performance goes.

I for one will remain positive until I have a reason to be negative lol

Fewer flying overhead lights? We'll see.

Digging around a bit, last time we went through this (2012->2013), it was structured as follows:

Free software upgrade (basically giving access to quick drive and software enhancements)

Limited Time Only: TS2013 Standard - $29.99 - Sherman Hill, London to Brighton, Northeast Corridor, Isle of Wight
you then had the option of Munich-Augsburg at a discounted price of $16.00

After the limited time only pre-order/purchase window, TS2013 then became

TS2013 Deluxe - $45.99 - Sherman Hill, London to Brighton, Munich-Augsburg

Which was later priced $54.99 and simply named Train Simulator 2013 and includes London to Brighton, Munich to Augsburg, and Sherman Hill
