I have the update, and so far GE is running fine. However I had lots of trouble with this a few months back,I started two threads on it. Since you can not cut and paste the API key,it must be carefully entered. It can be difficult to tell zeros from Ohs,for one thing.

Now instead of only getting the blue circles for a half second I get them and they keep going around but never load anything. If you didn't read before I have not been able to get this to work ever on 2015.

The one problem I had recently is because you can not copy and paste the Google code into the sim, you have to type it in. I had a zero mixed up with an O.

You copy and paste the API key in a text file, and you can differentiate the uppercase O from zero. In the text file the uppercase O is more rounded, and zero is more oval.

Thanks for responses.......
Guess I'll just have to check my copy when I get to it....
Really don't want to start my route unless this is fixed.....

Does anyone know that if I am getting the spinning circles that I at least have the API code in there correctly?

I believe it should work without the api key. The API key is supposed to just allow you to use more downloading bandwidth per day. I could be wrong though. If you want to know for sure maybe take out the key and see what you get with no key

I am assuming, from what I have been through, that the wrong API code will just keep the circles spinning. However, with my crashing problem, if I am low on memory, I get spinning circles even though it was working fine minutes before I used all the memory up.

This is not a memory issue.

That's what I found also when I had the same issue as Buzz is describing...my problem was the I and l ( capital i and lower case L ).
I tried Hack's suggestion, I think it was of pasting to notepad / word pad and then coping it in....did not work.
I had to type it all in manually...PITB when fault finding the correct code...

In case no one looked yet, there are some documents in Railworks\dev\docs now to help with many of the new things over the last few years.

Well it's certainly possible that I have the code wrong. I sure don't know how to get it to copy and paste. That would sure make it easier.

Have you tried 'Ctl-C to copy and Ctl-V to paste. That worked for me in the past. I haven't updated yet and my API key has never had to be replaced.
However, I haven't tried using the Google feature in quite awhile.
