Finally! A Florida route! I suspect this will come with Tri-Rail or Sunrail commuter stock and maybe an FEC SD70M-2 or ES44C4.

Sorry, I didn't read it yet. (Internet is restricted from where I'm typing now)

My guess is that it's just the South Florida Rail Corridor, which would be CSX, Tri-Rail, or Amtrak. If it includes the FEC also, that'd be the best treat ever.

Hopefully it is not 99% sunny because that would be absurd. *!lol!*

Very exciting. It's nice to see DTG focusing on commuter rail lines in the US instead of just long distance Amtrak and freight.

Any thoughts on how they will deal with the new central station? I can't imagine that they wouldn't include it, but what fate will that leave Miami's current amtrak station in?

Not a huge fan of Florida but this route could be pretty neat.

But seriously, Miami- West Palm? Couldnt they make the route longer? Thats a short distance, like 65-70 miles long.

Yep edited my post after googling it and finding out it was around 65-70 miles. Lets hope that they will add some FEC trackage.

The screenshot is of the historic West Palm Beach Seaboard Airline Station built in 1925. The view is looking northeast from the west side of the tracks and DTG has done a very nice job on the model! !!*ok*!!
This is CSX, Amtrak, Tri-Rail track. This route is a very densely populated urban area that parallels I-95, so 70 miles will be quite a challenge to model. This is awesome! !*brav*!

And probably for DLC's we can have Tri-Rail F40's, Bombardier cab cars, and a AMTK Silver Star/Meteor trainset.

70 miles is about half what the long routes are. I have no problem with this if it results in more concentration on accuracy of the route and it's track side objects. Making a 140 mile route accurate scenery-wise is much harder and time consuming.

I'm glad to see a Florida route....water, marshlands, beaches..... good stuff. !!*ok*!!
