Looks great Mike! What's your puter specks again? For reference. I'm pretty sure I won't need to turn off your rivets but just curious.
Thanks Joe! By the way, the texture mapping is very complex, but I've tried to make it possible to repaint it in the future without going crazy in the process. I was thinking someone might want to do their own custom weathering, for example.
I've got two computers - a desktop and a laptop, but I do most of the development and testing on the laptop (necessarily when my son is using the desktop). The laptop is an Alienware (Dell) M17XR4:
Intel i7-3720QM CPU @ 2.60 GHz
RAM: 12.0 GB
Windows 7 64-bit Home Edition
229 GB Samsung SSD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M
Screen resolution: 1920x1080
The desktop is older (from 2009) and has two GTX 295 cards in SLI (not that it makes any difference), and it uses a large monitor at 1920x1200 resolution.
I do most of my testing with everything on maximum except for depth of field, which I leave off (because it blurs everything, even close up detail, if you look close enough) and I set the AA for FXAA+ 4xMSAA, and 8x AF.
I used to test at lower settings on a very old and cheap HP Pavilion laptop, but the mobo has gone and I can't afford to get it fixed. It used to run the Connie at reasonable (15-19) fps.
