Ouch! Also notice that the road is floating between the berms. It seems it would be easy to create an asset to cover the gap. Also in another pic the is a blocked flangrway. Probably cause by two overlaping turnouts. Not so easy to fix.

With such a great TS2013 release, I am cautiously optimistic that the crazy 0 to 2 percent grade transitions for Donner Pass are a thing of the past.. Please RW HQ ?

Came across this and thought it was an interesting contrast. This shows how gradual the grade transition is at Truckee:

then looking the other way:

Good example of vegetation:

Oh yeah, and perhaps the initial supereleveation the route was released with wasnt that far off! Wow....

I'm optimistic and really looking forward to the re-release of this route.

What is not obvious from the pictures, (but is obvious from visiting Truckee) is that the track isn't actually level at any point. The grade goes from reasonably steep east of Truckee to very steep west of Truckee.

In the game, it goes from 0 to 2.5%. All those stretches of level track all over the mountain are completely wrong.

I cant get over how GOOD this is looking! They're going from a route that was arguably the worst out there, to one that its going to be on par with Sherman Hill! !*brav*!

New trees, ground texture, rocks, vegetation! They've got some real talent on the team as of lately.

Note, these are linked from facebook, as posted early today by RSC.

And considering the length of this route, I'm very impressed. No wonder its taking so long.

It will be a lot of fun to try when the thing gets done. I guess we still have no sense of how close to done they are. It will be interesting to see if they are pushing to get this done for the 1st anniversary of the initial release.

Looks great! I consider my investment last year to be quite a good one at this point.
