With the individuals involved I'm certain this will be a great addition to Railworks. I'm certainly excited about this since as I mentioned a couple of pages back that my bride and I have actually ridden on the real thing.

It's out - this is one of the first routes in a while that I am buying on launch day. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

The distant terrain looks really good.
All my mountain routes seem to lack distant tiles.

How are the scenarios? I have to admit I wad a bit turned off to see only two runs/trips broken down into multiple scenarios, with one four of the scenarios a light engine run.

To be honest I'm quite disappointed with the scenery in the major population areas like Anchorage. It's very bare and uses generic items. It's something more like what I expect to see in ts2011 era route to be perfectly honest. With the route builders behind this I really expected more.

Outside in the country it's much better, exactly what I expected.

The sd70mac had some issues like the ditchlights are on when the headlight position is for reverse and it doesn't illuminate the environment. Also it looks like the sun visor is going through the windshield. Coulple more negative comment in the old kuju SD40 horn is back on the SD70, not the biggest deal but could be better. Lastly the horn on the geep isn't great.

Overall the distant scenery is great, looks good while outside the population centres. However it's not without flaws. For 45 bucks I did expect a bit more when comparing to the other route releases.

What is the horn on the GP38 Anyways? Is it the default RS3K That usually finds it way on to any variant?

honestly don't know. I've heard it before and think it's been on the geep from stevens pass and chicago. I'll probably replace it soon.

This is what I mean by lack of scenery, it's just empty and the assests used are quite old minus the few custom ones. I spent the last hour or so redoing a lot of what was there, and making it more realistic based off google earth, unfortunately the game crashed so I'm starting over on that project. Sorry to be the one Buzz, but there is definitely room for improvement here.

As I said though, out in the country, a lot better.

There are about 12,000 horns in the library. Use one for cripe sake. Out for the night. Let the bitching commence.
