And, by gar, you're correct -- but then, Kroger already noted that in an earlier part of this thread. Moreover, many yard areas are not electrified, so switching scenarios would have to use diesel for sorting and electric for mainline use, which could prove interesting. However, I remember that when I was making switching scenarios for the VNHRR, I looked for electric engines with pantographs to use as AI power moving along the mainlines.
