The advanced brakes in the SD40T-2 are an adaptation of what I did for the FEF-3 (and imported into the Connie), which also has bail-off. For the diesel, I made some improvements, such as scripting the behaviour of the auxiliary reservoirs and quick service reservoirs, so some aspects of the physics are now more accurate in the SD40T-2 than in my two steam locos (but I hope I'll get the chance to update them some time).

Well, it's really phenomenal! I'm enjoying the challenge and complexity. Thanks again! Looking forward to more DLC based around these physics in the future!

EDIT: Oh, yeah, I also haven't messed with tweaking ANYTHING regarding the Connie or FEF-3, which I also own. Those are as close to perfect as you can get, in my opinion.

I have made the caboose brake gauge to work.

In the sd40T_2_sp_DRGW.bin, I have set ApplyToConsist to eTrue for the BrakePipePressureTailEnd control variable, while in the caboose I have changed the AirBrakePipePressurePSI control value to read BrakePipePressureTailEnd.
This having done, the caboose brake gauge now displays the brake pipe pressure at the tail end, according to the scripting, which I assume is correct.

Unfortunately, this only works with the new DRGW SD40T-2, not with the GP9 or any other locomotive, since they don't have these advanced braking scripts.

Will having the ordinary AirBrakePipePressurePSI control variable set to propagate through the consist also work, or will it mess up the simulation? Any locomotive pulling this caboose will have to be modified ....

He really really needs to not be using the DTG graphics/work in progress stuff. While he clearly labels it as Luk Rail, it causes a lot of confusion as to if it will be an "official" add-on via Marketplace or just his own project being released via a webpage.

Yes, I mistook that for an official add-on that might be released on Steam. What is that font DTG uses?

That was a very clever idea! I'm glad it worked. Changing controllers to apply to consist shouldn't have any detrimental effect on the advanced braking, so by all means go ahead with it :)

Can someone share the knowledge how to replace stock SD40-2 sounds with Oovee/Anthony Wood EMD sound pack?

I wouldn't be surprised to see the price drop even further over the next few days. Rumor has it that the Summer Sale begins tomorrow.

No, it's still not perfect (it's WIP) but I improved the front striping, reduced the weathering on the plow ends, and then moderately weathered the whole SD40T-2 with D&RGW grey dust.
