Of which we have no idea what it will sound like. As far as a horn up date, I have no idea how prototypical the horn is on this offering however it is certainly one of the best horns out there as far as the smoothness of it. It gets a A for quality.

Not accurate to prototype, but whatever. It should be a Leslie S5TRRO

Are your older sound sets available from trainsim.com a viable alternative? Like mlwdash7.zip?
It has that Leslie horn you mentioned amongst its samples.

I actually completely forgot about those and my source sampling. I originally was going to adapt the U25B sounds as a new U boat sound pack.
Thanks for the thought!

Buzz, did you try out the gyra light at night? *!!wink!!*

It really is! I particularly like the passenger view 5 feature of the caboose. It's a very nice view from up there. !!*ok*!!

It does look nice indeed. Modernized caboose it seems, by the looks of that rock proof glass in the cupola.

What is its prototype? Specific ACL/SAL/SCL? Or was this type of caboose used by other railroads as well, specifically western US roads like Santa Fe, SP, UP, BNSF?
Next question: is it good for repaints?

Since you nit pick everything else to death I'm surprised that you haven't research this already and pointed out the flaws in it compared to the prototype. !!det!! !*roll-laugh*!

SCL 0613 is a M-5 class steel caboose and was built by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad in 1964. Instead of purchasing new cabooses, the ACL shops in Waycross, Georgia constructed them from old 36' boxcars, reusing the sides and roofs. They became nicknamed “orange crates” for the color ACL chose to paint them. The 0613 was donated to the State of North Carolina by CSX Corporation in 1993 and has been restored to SCL 1970s orange and black paint. It is currently part of the collection at the North Carolina Museum of Transportation in Spencer, NC. Images were taken on October 11, 2006.

You beat me to it, Buzz.
Here is its prototype: SCL M5 Class.

http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/rspicture.aspx?id=692250

Interestingly, it rides on coil spring trucks, as a contradiction to my earlier statement that caboose usually had leaf springs in their trucks to provide a little more comfort to the crew. Also, not all M5 class caboose had slanted sides panels on their cupolas.
Here is some prototype and scale model info:
http://www.jacksonvilleterminal.com/cabooses.html

Here is modernized SCL 0633 of the same class, it has the taillight!

I won't start a discussion on the plural of 'caboose'. !*roll-laugh*!
Though this BQ23-7 made the caboose redundant:

Now that would make a unique model!

And no, I don't own this DLC, so I cannot comment on it other than based on information available here and elsewhere.
I am grateful for the pics and videos provided by early buyers to help me decide which DLC to buy outright and which only at a discount later.
