So much for patch 38.3a !!

Unread postby ozinoz » Fri Oct 25, 2013 5:48 pm

I finally updated my 2013 to 2014 this morning, but REALLY wished I hadnt. Update went fine, then had to verify local files, then download the requisite files that didnt verify, then re verify all for it to now lock up. I was under the impression that the latest patch was supposed to fix a locking up in offline mode. That being the case, it doesnt, well, at least not for me.

Doesnt matter if it is a saved scenerio, new, RSC DLC route or 3rd party - it just freezes up.

Any suggestions on what to try now?

!*hp*!

!*cheers*!

Yes, go read what most everyone did. Most of the problems go to the pon file and a couple of other things that are not to hard to fix.

the only "pon" file residing anywhere within my Steam folder refer to Ponderosa pines from the GTrax DSNG route. I have no other PON's. This was supposed to have been resolved post the 38.3 update - all the posts I can find seem to refer to issues before that came out.

Unfortunately I just don't have the time for this, which is one of the reasons it has taken till now to even update from 13-14. I just struggle at times to understand how RSC can put out an update, 2 updates to that update and users are still having issues of the program not working.

I surrender... *!sad!*

Its steam. Not RSC. Don't blame them for everything. Nothing is broken for me here.

So deleting the PONtrack.bin file will fix the 3rd party Routes from crashing? And the Railworks.exe is not working?

It will get the third party stuff working unless you have another problem. Not sure about your .exe problem.

So does this mean that now your RSC routes are not working? If they are working, then the Railworks.exe is also. Read thru that Thread I linked to for all the info that these guys have come up with.
