blueprint problems now

Unread postby eyein12 » Sun Oct 20, 2013 1:39 pm

OK so i'm at my wits end here with this new editor. First I get a lot of warnings saying "the referenced provider does not match the provider of this file. file will not be included in export." but the files are from my developer folder and they are the same that my locomotive is in. Then when I want to view it in the asset editor it doesn't show up. in fact none of the child objects either because it says they also don't match. but they do match from what I see. ALso nothing else appears in the asset editor anymore. just tried a simple box and nothing.

Anyone having this issue or know of a fix?

thanks
Ian

ok I figured out the issue. and this is for every developer out there. the latest update now is extremely sensitive to caps. It wont show the loco or anything if your provider product names do not match in case exactly. Yikes!

ok

This is not a new thing. MadMike and I ran into case sensitivity when adding child models to the britkits models. In fact the WC3 XML spec talks about being case sensitive, so its not an RCS thing either. If anything the bug was in the old BPE, and the new version follows the rules correctly. We had a discussion about this on the TS2014 thread some time back. Overall its a good thing.
