As for the desktop PC it's a top of the line Dell PC. An TS2014 runs perfect on it

Have you authorized the laptop through Steam? If you use a new PC, you have to respond to an email that Steam sends you (if I remember correctly) about using a different PC on your account. This is a way Steam is trying to prevent hijacking of accounts.

I have been using the desktop since January 1st 2013. I have had TS2013 on that desktop PC when the TS2014 update came it installed I can run. TS2014 on that desktop with no problem. All I am asking is when I get back home on my dekstop PC. I log into Steam with my username & password I should not have any problems. With TS2014 correct no I have not authorized TS2014 on this old laptop.Cause I do not use this laptop at all I just brought it with me so I can use the internet is all.I logged into Steam this morning using my laptop TS2014 installed.
As for TS2013 yes it was authorized I had TS2013 on this laptop.I could run TS2013 that was before the TS2014 update.Since I got the new PC I never used this laptop until now.So meaning after I got the TS2014 on this old laptop this morning I got that Steam error this morning.

You should not have a problem with working on your routes with your desktop. And yes, I sometimes get upset with Steam automatically wanting to update, but there is a way to turn that off, but I would suppose no one does. Still, I don't think Steam lets anyone run older versions of games if there is a patch or new version available.

As soon as you log into Steam on your Desktop, go to Library and do a verify (if Steam doesn't start the download automatically).

As long as it's the same account with same password etc you should be able to down load it, after signing in again and getting the verification code from your email.
If you installed Steam as a different account on each PC then Steam will think of it as two separate accounts and make you pay twice.
