Guys and gals,

In the Dev\Shaders folder are HeatHazeObjects.fx and HeadLightFlare.fx and .o files.

Are these used or useable?

I believe heat haze is what was used on the headlights of the DP stuff prior to 2014? The flare is what is used now by recent DLC including DP, and the upcoming Surfliner.

Would be nice to have a heat haze for the exhaust.

Thats what I was thinking, and since I didn't know this was either an old or a new shader, I asked.

Given that the "new" Donner Pass headlight flare effect has a detrimental effect on framerates for certain users, perhaps the heat haze has been kept switched off.

No authorative answer yet ....
