New to TS2014- help with graphics

Hello all, I just purchased and downloaded a copy of ts2014 on my PC. Anytime I open a session the graphics look really odd, can anyone help identify the probelm? Thanks!

What are your computer specs? Do you have the anti-aliasing set to application controlled for railworks.exe?

I bought the game from Walmart.... I am not using the best computer, I run windows vista(64 bit), my processor is an AMD Phenom with 6gb of ram, I am not sure what my graphics card is but I can run large and highly detailed routes on Trainz (another train simulator) with good FPS.

I've got an AMD Phenom in my computer too, and it runs the game pretty well on all but the most polygon intensive routes. Try reducing your graphics settings in game, then see if the glitching issue gets better or dissapears.

As a first step, use the "Verify integrity of game cache" function in your Steam client.
That will make sure all your files are updated to current version.

I checked my files and they are up to date. Where/how do I reduce my graphics settings? Also should I try to delete, then reinstall the game?

You could do that, but first I'd try the 3D video settings in your video card's control panel.
You will find suggested settings here and at uktrainsim.com.
Most important is that almost everything should be at "application controlled".

At the main menu in game a button for 'settings' should be in the top right hand corner, click that, then click 'graphics', then adjust the 'screen resolution' or 'master detail level' sliders. Before doing that though, go to your graphics control panel as Chacal suggested and confirm that the settings default to 'application controlled'
