Jump from Loco to another Loco in free roam

Ok, I've most likely lost it (wife keeps telling me I had to have it in the first place in order to loose it). I thought I had read somewhere in a thread that there is a way to jump from one loco/consist to another when in a free roam scenario. I've tried searching but can't find anything (most likely using wrong words in my search). I've also scanned the TS14 manual to no avail. I've tried using different key combo's while using the free camera feature, but nothing works.

Is it possible to switch from loco to loco, and if so, what is required.

Just click on the other engine and Shazaam you will be the engineer of the other train.

as long as you can see the loco you want to jump to you can just have to be outside view of the one you are in to do it. Just click on the one you want to jump to and you will be in it

although the other train you want to run must have an engineer in it (when building a freeroam the same thing you do with your original train by putting the driver in it)

Go figure! That's the first thing I tried and I know the loco/consist had a driver. I guess I wasn't holding my tongue in the right position.

I'll try it again.

UPDATE: I was originally left clicking the various icons for the outside views and that's what wasn't allowing me to select another loco/consist, but as soon as I used the keyboard (2,3 & 8 keys), tada!

Just click on the other engine and Shazaam you will be the engineer of the other train.

Errrr... almost that easy. LOL.

usually, if switching from one loco to another, a person has to switch to the outside cab view (decks view on some older DLC) and then point your view to the desired engine or train from there, then click on it.
If you can't see your engine from there, "fly" using the arrow keys from that camera view, to your desired train. (Don't forget to switch to the free roam camera first)
And always remember, hitting "Shift" while flying will greatly improve your speed to the object in question.
