Help on decision making for a route,HELP!!!

Unread postby nssd80mackid » Sun Apr 06, 2014 12:44 pm

Alright well I can only get one route and this is what I am stuck on !*hp*! The LA to San Diego route, Stevens Pass and the CP route. The LA to San Diego has both passenger and freight which is awesome. Stevens Pass comes with the Boeing cars and some engines. The CP route comes with just one engine and a few cars but the scenery is outstanding. Can anyone narrow down the list and write which one you would prefer.
CPU- Ryzen 7 3700x
Ram- Corsair RGB Vengeance 32 GB 3600mhz
GPU- Evga RTX 3080 FTW3
SSD- Samsung 860 evo 500GB

Depends on what you're into. If you want some urban running, LA-SD is AWESOME. Mostly pax, little freight, but you can be prototypical. SP is another amazing route if you're into running through scenic, uninhabited land with lots of grades. The city of Everett is quite cool, as well. However, there is only the twice/day Empire Builder that runs through, so very little pax. I don't own CP, so maybe someone else can contribute, but I do know it's a slow-running route where track speed is around 30 for basically the whole route. Lots of steep grades, and no real passenger service (Railworks-wise, that is).

I can't speak for CP, but SP and LA-SD are VERY high quality. Regardless of which one you pick, you will feel satisfied. They are great routes.

Tough choice but you won't be disappointed by any of the three. They are all outstanding in their own way.

Hello all, I am new to railworks and I am also looking at buying a route or two. I want to get stevens pass and the LA- San Diego route. Knowing the stevens pass route comes with the BNSF es44dc, will I need to purchase the BNSF es44dc add on as well so I can run the BNSF es44dc sessions on LA - San Diego?

If I remember correctly the ES comes with the Pacific Surfliner also. Did you look at the details of what's included in the package?

Yes, you will need to purchase the BNSF ES44DC DLC to have access to the scenarios for the Surfliner that are included with the ES44DC DLC.

I own the Pacific Surfliner but not the ES44DC DLC and I do not have access to the scenarios for the Surfliner route included with the ES44DC DLC.
