Resolved: Steam is up again! was: Steam is down and out?

None of my computers can connect to Steam right now.
And also the store.steampowered.com webpage is unavailable for the past 2 hours.

Never have had this total 'blackout' before.

I'm here thinking my account has been hacked, other people are having same problem? because when i went to login in, it said cant connect, so i checked my internet its running top notch, so i do a test and purposely type in fake password and it says cannot connect so i assumed i have been hacked. But when i went to steam site and typed in my account it said incorrect login so i may actually be hacked, and i cannot contact steam support either.

Been going off and on for me also. Just tried buying F1 Collectors Edition and the server was having problems. Finally got it to go.

Well that was not it, i was able to get logged in later

Something IS wrong with Steam. I have been unable to log on since early this morning, after having no issues yesterday. I did notice a Steam client update when I brought my computer up, so this may be the culprit.

Ok, let update the last post. Something is NOT wrong with Steam. The first letter of my user name was lowercase, when it is actually uppercase. Now since my name is remembered and never typed in, the change could only have happened when the Steam client updated. So if you are still having trouble, check your spelling.

Yeah well I had Teamviewer running and did not know it, when I shut it down I was able to connect and have been since. So I have no idea what really weas the problem. I never had to type my name only my password when I went from offline to online. Teamviewer off, Steam OK.
