4449 on Stevens Pass

Unread postby UP3985 » Tue Dec 03, 2013 4:02 pm

I have been trying to run the original GTrax 4449 on Stevens Pass, but whenever I clickon the consist, the game freezes and when I hit the windows return key, it just has a saved to temp dump message. Is there a glitch here? (HA! Is there...) But seriously, Isthis just a me problem or has anyone else experienced this?

I think there is something wrong with your 4449. Easiest thing to do is just .xxx it or delete it and then verify local cache. When you get that message it's hard to tell what part of it is caca. (that's a technical term !*roll-laugh*! ). I take it you don't have a backup copy of your assets? That is one of the reasons I make one regularly so I can test if I run into this kind of issue.

What is wrong:
The 4449 is the only loco by G-TraX which still uses couplings by Kuju\RailSimulatorUS.
Stevens Pass does not use anything from Kuju. So you have check Kuju\RailSimulatorUS in the editor.

The same applies to the lightweight coaches (freeware) which you may have installed: they use kuju couplings.

Back to the loco:
The best thing would be that the 4449s use the couplings in G-TraX\Trains\Railvehicles\Couplings like the Berkshires and SPS_700 do.
This is critical when driving this loco in Quickdrive, as in QD only the the folders of the rolling stock used in a consist is activated, not the folders of secondary assets.
