BNSF and SOO Line routes

Unread postby chrisreb » Fri Nov 15, 2013 5:10 am

I am in the happy position at last of having just about all my routes running off a single asset set. However I have just 2 or 3 that will not run including the above 2 payware ones. The SOO line will run using a completely new asset folder but the other one will not getting a CTD. has anyone got these running.

I have gone through all the various route updates again to reinstall the routes - seems odd that everything else will load but these 2. Before writing them off I thought I would see how others were doing.

I have both of them working. If you haven't done this yet do a search for any PONtrack files in your whole RW folder and delete it. It seems to be the root of many evils loading third party stuff and doesn't seem to do anything.

Yes did that a week or so ago which suddenly sorted all my other routes out - had the file in 3 different places. Will check again anyway. Since both routes are by same author there should be a common reason.

On another thread I also suggest running logmate on that route and see what file it is hanging on then you can figure out what to do about it.

[RunTimeError 16:40:54] Trace mdump.cpp : 282 = Dump taken

seems to be loading stuff that has no bearing on the route and then this CARTHMIGUEL stuff which I do not have, same result on an existing scenario or on creation of a new one. Crashes pretty quickly too.

Thanks for trying to help.

When doing the route check RW Tools says Error #6 overflow but still creates a new xml route properties which is much larger!!

The list of providers repeats the EYEIN12 stuff over and over on the list. I have never seen that before.

Well that's interesting - on the SOO Line I actually managed to create a scenario although any existing ones crash. This is with a Route Properties File that is now 4 times larger!

More experimentation to do I suppose.

Try reinstalling the two routes.
Also you should e-mail Ian, if this problem happened to other customers he would know about it.

Can actually run at least one scenario in SOO and BNSF using the very large RouteProperties files.

I will try to e mail Ian but in the past have been unable to find a contact link on his website.

Still big progress despite the odd behaviours relating to these routes.

There is a tab in RWTools to eliminate duplicates after you do the route check. That will shrink your file back down to where it should be.

Thanks Buzz- Amazing now I have started to get these routes running again. SOO line is especially good - just need some scenarios now.
