Also try running this:
- In LogMate, clear the logs by using File/Clear logs
- Exit the scenario, causing a CTD
- find new errors in the logs.
Ok, quick update on what happened...........
TS2014 crashing on startup, dumped all the files in the "routes" folder to drive D.
Started TS2014, noted it actually started up, got to the main menu, noted no routes to drive on (expected). Went to settings, cleared cache, exited game.
Verified cache in Steam, noted a pile of files failed to verify. 1.2 gigs coming down the pike. Went to bed (gotta sleep sometime).
Morning, about 5:30 AM, noted download was done, started game. Heard a warning noise from Windows (was "Failed to create Direct X device" but game started up anyway). Noted all routes were there again.
On minimal graphics settings, tested one route after another for a few minutes each, free camera floating around to see if it would crash.
Exit to main menu on each route successful EXCEPT Eastern Lines of Scotland; the route will load and runs ok but will CTD on exit from the scenario I was in. Sorry, didn't have the logmate running, but I'll have to test that out tonight (yes, have to go to work in order to pay for all this stuff).

At least its running again. Will test with the logmate tonight. You know you have someone really determined to get this fixed when they get up at 5:30 AM to play with trains.
