Where is the new google maps feature?

So if I want to go to a certain area do you still have to know the latitude and longitude? how can I find that in googlemaps online

Edit: Ok I found lat-long in googlmaps, but when creating a new route I can only enter seven numbers in the lat-long box and I have more numbers than that.

Yeah I want to do the NS mon line (coal trains). Starts at Baily Mine, Graysville, Pa to Shire Oaks, Finleyville, Pa at the yard, roughly 45 miles. The lat and long of Finleyville is 40.2528° N, 80.0036° W and Graysville is 40.6915° N, 78.0278° W

OK I check those two locations, I did get images from google so there has to be something askew in your settings.... I'm using the following;

Satellite

Nevermind I got it!! But when you went to the location i showed you was it black and white?, and how do you get the terrain?, like in your picture.

Good glad you have images now.

Terrain is whole different animal to tame. You will need a few items if you want to get good dirt. Data from the USGS for the area you want to model, Microdem for converting/combining it and finally ReDem to get it into game. If your ok with low res dirt you can download it from the USGS in I believe 30 meter data. The stuff I used was 1/3 minute as it was the best I could get for my route. If I could have found 1/9 arc data I would have used that instead. There are a few tuts out there on getting and converting dirt. It's a learning experience you just have to live.

I don't know what your asking me here. When I went to in my test route, typed in your lat & lon and went there, it was flat land as I expected because I have no terrain for that area. Then I turned on the google overlay and poof I had images.
