Norfolk Southern Coal District question

Unread postby JDMiller » Mon Jul 28, 2014 5:46 pm

I've installed the new Norfolk Southern Coal District. I noticed the only way I can use the scenero's that came with this package is click the following :
Main menu >
Collection >
Route.

The scenereo's don't show up where I normally pick them from which is by clicking:
Main Menu >
Drive >
Standard.

One thing I was able to do was to add a custom scenereo from the workshop for this route and it does show in the "standard scenereo" section. But that is the only one for this route that shows there.

Has anyone else have this issue? Is there a way I can fix this so the scenerios show up in the "standard" section of my menus?

I'm not sure if this matters but I bought the other 2 new NS engines also, SD$40-2 and GP38.

Thanks in advance.

Near as I know you have to make a clone of the scenario and then change it to a standard scenario.

OK, Thanks. That makes sense. I went into the editor section and all the scenarios show up as career. So I see now what is going on.

I will do some home work to figure out how to change the scenerio type. It's been a while since I've edited a scenerio. I'm a little rusty.
Thanks so much !*salute*!

Here is an update in case anyone else finds the same issue in the future.

I could have used RW tools to convert the career sceneraio's into standard, I did one set but it used a lot more space on my hard drive. So rather than doing that for the rest of them I just changed the career setting to not score anymore. This was easier and since a new update is coming out soon I didn't want to go through it twice. Now they act like standard scenerios. The scenerario's still show up in the career section thou but that doesn't bother me.

I think this may have been mentioned on the forum elsewhere; From what I found out there will no longer be standard scenario's issued with the game except in special cases. Everything issued with the game will be career scenaro's for the most part. And if you want them to be standard you can change in the settings. And free roam scenerao's may not be issued but still supported. I guess the idea is for standrad scenario's we the users can upload to the workshop and share as we have been doing.
