Horrible looking water

This is from Donner Pass. How can I change it to make it look more realistic, and not like a 5yr old colored it in with a crayon?

Are you running with TSX off?
"Life is like a journey, taken on a train
With a pair of travelers at each windowpane.
I may sit beside you all the journey through,
Or I may sit elsewhere, never knowing you.
But if fate should mark me to sit by your side,
Let's be pleasant travellers; it's so short a ride."

Nutz.
I just recently cleared out a bunch of screen shots, but my water definitely looks better than that. The program does not really do running water, but ponds and other large bodies look pretty darn good.
New build. i7-7700k, MSI Z270 Gaming M5 Mobo, Hyper 212 Evo, Corsair DDR4 3200 Mhz RAM, Klipsch Pro Mediea 2.1 Speakers, Samsung 850 Evo SSD, HAF XM Case, Asus Strix GTX 1070 and Cooler Master Storm XT Keyboard.
Slick with Pretty Rainbow Colors.

This is what the water looks like on Donner Pass on my computer. Perhaps you shouldn't be so fast to complain about the makers.

the water in game will look like that even without tsx on, this type of detail was included with the railsimulator version of the game, just go into options and look for something that looks like water detail level.
