How can I print a listing of assets?

Unread postby DapperDan » Wed Dec 04, 2013 12:57 pm

I can't seem to find anything in my searches as to how one goes about printing out a listing of all the assets (locos, wagons etc.) for TS14. Is there a utility program for TS14 that would accommodate this? I'd like to start trying my hand at creating some scenarios, but trying to figure out what I have is more then a little confusing and I don't want to check everything off in the object set filter if I don't need it.

Thanks in advance for the help.

RW-Tools creates a list of assets that you can import in Excel.
I've made a worksheet with filters so i can swap rolling stock more easily in scenarios.

I kinda figured I would be told that. I don't have RW-Tools, so I guess I'd better consider getting it, and if I do, will the program be able to generate the listing without having to do fancy things with the .ap files I've been reading so much about. I must admit I'm not that much of an expert when it comes to this kinda stuff and was hoping to use the KISS principle.

Rwtools will do that for you also.

OK, one last dumb question (and yes I know, just get the program and read the manual). Does RW-Tools automatically take care of what's required for me to get an asset listing (like working on .ap files in the background when I instruct it to give me the listing), or do I have to first tell it to do it's thing on the .ap files and then instruct it to generate an asset listing (in other words a two step operation).

Thanks for the help, and once again, yes I know, just get the program and read the manual. !**duh*!!

There's a function to unpack all .ap files.
You need to do that only after a TS2014 upgrade or after you have verified local files in Steam.

The best $20.00 I've ever spent on this simulation was on RW Tools.
