And, if you want the hints and tips gone too:

If you are fed up reading the Tips that flash up on your screen every time you load a scenario then do this:

1 Navigate to Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\data
2 rename the flash folder in that directory to flashoff, just so you know where it is.
3 Make a new folder called flash and leave it empty
4 done.
5 Get you favourite screenshot.
6 Size it to 1920x1080.
7 Put it into the empty flash folder you just made.
8 Rename the screenshot to UI_BG_Slideshow02.swf
9 Ensure that you have changed the suffix from .jpeg to .swf
Now your chosen screenshot will display when a scenario loads instead of the tips flash video.

No more flash video on every scenario load. Just a black screen with the loading bar.

You don't write scenarios, do you?

All this stuff works awesome, thank you so much. But how do you resize photos, please?

I'd like to say thanks! for this info. It is nice to be able to skip the intro.

Now if there was only a way to not see the same info screens each time I go to drive a route.

.
Thanks for all this, Marleyman!

This thread caused me a laugh at my technologically-fickle nature:

The first time I was reading through the early part of this thread, I thought "Ah. Neat-oh trick. But not worth the effort since I can just as easily carry-on with hitting Esc."

Oh yeah? Apparently, the seed had been planted!

After about two more startups, I discovered that hitting Esc was no longer a satisfactory way to continue, and I found myself quickly burrowing back here into the Forum, desperately searching for this thread.

Near-panic! Had to have that mod!

Well, I now have both mods going strong (a nice old sweetheart of a GP9 for my scenario loads), and I thank you muchly once more, Marleyman.

Alla best,

At risk of answering a stale question, I've found that IrfanView is a honeybun of a powerful yet simple-to-use graphics utility. I'm certain you'd be happy with it for your daily graphics viewing and modification needs.

What happened to route-specific loading pictures?
This used to be a TS feature.

These went away with the release of TS2012.
Cheers!
