How can I send BIG files for free?

Unread postby 5292nate » Thu Mar 07, 2013 4:42 pm

Hi guys. I have a 5 GB file that I need to send (actually I need someone to send it to me). I signed up for mediafire, but with my account, there is a maximum upload restriction of 4 GB. Is there any other way?

Thanks guys!

But, it's one huge file. Can't break it up. The whole point is to have it in one piece.

That link does not work. I think we are going to go with the split-n'-stitch method here!

Why would anyone want to try another megaupload site is beyond me. Kim Dotcom is still having troubles with several governments and if I remember correctly several people here were ticked that they could not get at their files once the servers were seized.

I am not making an opinion here on if Kim Dotcom is bent, but I am asking: why go through it again? There are many other sites that offer file storage. I use Cubby made by LogMeIn. They offer 5gb free, and then 1gb per-referral up to 20gb (so 25gb total). Read up on it. If you like it and want a referral link from me (yes, so I can get a gig), PM me. I will only need your email address (please don't post it in the forum topic).

You can use winzip or RAR to break the files into parts of any size you want.
