Question for you computer techy people

I was looking to buy CoD black ops 2 for my PC and im wondering if my pc can handle it?
my specs:

System: Windows 7
Processor: AMD A10-4600M APU (quad core) with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics, 2300Mhz
RAM: 8GB
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7660G+7670M Dual Graphics

well thats what i could kinda figure out on what my computer has, please let me know if this thing has enough power to play that game, thanks!

Lol I think it'll handle it. CoD isn't as demanding as Railworks. There are alot of graphic features you can turn off in CoD that improve FPS but don't ruin the look of the game.

Should be fine like ND said. That new series AMD CPU has onboard graphics, make sure you disable that and use the discreet graphics when gaming. Is that a laptop? Quite an expensive one (or PC)

yeah its a labtop, after taxes everything cost me just over $1000, they threw in a Razer Death Adder mouse (3500dpi) for free too so it was a nice deal and not to expencive if you ask me compaired to a true gaming rig wich can cost around double that ammount.

You will have to look around in the BIOS (and/ or the manual book) to see if there is a physical switch or a software setting to change from the on chip graphics to the discreet graphics. Some systems will do that automatically, some will not. That new "A" series chip may very well switch by itself when it senses a heavy graphics load. It's supposed to use the low power graphics for low power stuff like surfing the web, saves battery power.

I built my current desktop for about $700 USD, but as someone else already said, it would be a real pain to try and carry it around. I use it for my games and I have an older POS Dell laptop to do my "remote" e mail and stuff.

It should be fine. I've had it with the CoD franchise so I didn't buy blops II, but people have said the PC version is optimized far better than the original black ops was.

FWIW I just helped my daughter build a gaming desktop and her mobo has an integrated graphics chip (mine does not...) and she built it with a GeForce 560Ti discrete card. She recently moved to a new apartment and when re-hooking up her rig she plugged her monitor into the mobo DVI and was surprised that she had no video. Hers automatically shut off the internal GFX function when the card was plugged in.

It should switch over automatically I would guess. Mine does, but I can set it manually too if I want to make sure or to make it use the APU's graphics chip instead. If you want to make sure it's using the 7670M discrete card, download and run the AMD System Monitor software to check. It's here....

Just click on the details buttons of both the APU and 7670M in the program to get it to graph it. Also stretch the window of it across the screen a bit so you get a nice long graph of it's usage. Play the game a bit and then exit out to windows as quickly as possible so you can see if the graph shows the 7670M getting used.

Just remember to stick with your laptop maker's drivers for your model. I learned that the hard way as this thread I made of my journey into learning that and it's problems is here.....

If you have an HP, you should be able to set the power mode which in turn decides which GPU is to be used. It also allows you to enable Crossfire mode. I think there is a profile for COD 3. You should have better results then me in crossfire mode (see my sig for my specs) cuz your APU's GPU and your discrete GPU are closer in power to each other then mine. That helps a lot more when it comes to load balancing issues and the reduction of micro stuttering.

DISCRETE means:

This is the correct word to use in this context, whereas

DISCREET means:
1. having or showing discernment or good judgment in conduct and especially in speech : prudent; especially: capable of preserving prudent silence
