Looking for another administrator

Unread postby buzz456 » Wed Oct 09, 2024 9:31 am

Hi all. We are looking for another volunteer who might be interested in acting as another administrator for the RWA site. We are fine as far as moderating the forum however we think it would be a good idea to have a backup for the actual web site and to help with the library. Obviously you would need familiarity with phpBB and cpPanel which is what our base is from.
PM me or Chacal if you have any interest.
*!!thnx!!*

Good luck on the search.

Hopefully she will try to implement a second forum layout, one that is a bit better suited for mobile phones.

I don't understand. I have a Android phone and it looks exactly the same on my phone as it does on my computer only smaller?

For that kind of changes we would need to update the forum software. That's for a different kind of admin.
We will eventually need to update everything on the server (OS, WHM, cPanel, Joomla, phpBB, even the physical server itself, but this is risky and I'm not willing to take the chance of losing everything and not being able to fix it with the little time and knowledge I have.

I am suggesting to also have a PHPBB layout installed, so not the whole website, that supports phones a bit better than the current layout does.
