I have gone from a 100/20 speed up to 950/450 Mbps plan. In New Zealand we have one company that looks after the laying connecting to households business who then onsells the fibre to the ISPs who then sell it to the general public. Any way the company who lays the cable etc decided to give all those on a 100/20 plan which is the most popular plan in NZ a free speed boost. A nice early Christmas present.

Up to 60 / 11 MBps. I hate you.

I was with Comcast Cable in California and had 180+down and 30 up. Moved to Alaska and now have 50 down and 30 up, I loose internet about 2x per month but not for very long, maybe 1/2 hour. It is FIWI, wireless to a tower. When it snows heavy sometimes I loose signal. At least I have the low band signal. The hi band signal is worse in snow.

I'm 216 Mbps down and 106 Mbps upload.

I'm in New Zealand and get 940 down and 500 up.

Trev123, if you're now on a 950/450 plan you should do better than 216/106.

Ok, I was 100/20 but it has been increased from December 1. So I don't know what my connection speed is. Speeds from
100/20 - 950/450 Mbps so anywhere in between.

However, if you're only getting 216/106 it's probably the 200/100 plan.

Please give it a rest.
