I am not sure what caused the monitor blink with this graphic card while in simulation with Train Simulator 2019 about every 5 to 10 minutes. I changed the graphic card from Nvidia to AMD last evening on my desktop. I find this graphic card a little better than Nvidia. But I could be wrong. Anyway I did not change any Train Simulator 2018 graphic settings for this card. Is there something that I can change to avoid the blink in game simulation. Also noticed that the FPS is around 20 too.

Your help would be appreciated.

Have you checked to make sure you have the most current drivers for the AMD R9 380?

Did you uninstall the Nvidia drivers? To me going to an AMD Radeon card is a step backwards. I have always had Nvidia cards since about 1998 and have had no issues with them.

Trevor, I agree with you about the Nvidia graphic card which is a little better than AMD. Mine is broken with the fan so I have a spare graphic card which is MSI AMD R9 380 graphic card. I am thinking to get another Nvidia graphic card but not sure which one is better like Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 3GB or if I can find the similar graphic card that I have before with Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050TI 4 GB or go higher with Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 -- not sure how many mb in that card. But for now will use AMD graphic card till I see the prices go down and get one.

Is the blinking problem only in Train Simulator, or does it happen when working in Windows, or other applications also?

Just to confirm, you've made sure that your monitor connections are plugged in tightly at the back of the monitor, and at the back of the graphics card?

I ran an R9 series card for years without issue, so I feel that this is likely a driver related issue as Trev suggested.

All is good now and what I did is to run the display-driver-uninstaller to clean the drivers of AMD and restart. That was a suggestion by Dovetail Games Support that I sent a support ticket yesterday and they replied back this morning.
