Windows 10 error Ocx000021a

My pc was fine on Sunday, last night I am now stuck in a boot / reboot loop citing Ocx000021a as the error message

Anybody experienced this of late and any tips on fixing? Consensus just seems to be - format & reinstall, but I cant afford to do that, either time or app wise.

Dont want to have to take it to a tech for a couple of weeks if I can avoid it...

You possibly mean a 0xc000021a error usually due to Windows 10 update. (It also appears in Windows 8 and the fixes usually work in win 8 and 10.)

It also may be worth rolling Windows back to a time before the error occurred?

At a command prompt (cmd.exe) as administrator (Google) run sfc /scannow (Google) and see if there are any error messages?
