Hi gang! How many of you are BIG horn freaks like me? Remember a while back? I started a post Called "CSX horn collection"
http://railworksamerica.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=7765&hilit=+CSX+horn+project Well, I have been busy. It is still being worked on. But, now, I have decided to take it up a few notches! I will likely be releasing it in stages like RCAP. I have been working on several other railroads. Mainly NS and CSX. I have also made some very difficult to find horns. Such as a nice K5LLA for the CSX SD70ACe and a NS K5LLA. I have 6 different K5LA variants for the NS dash 9, and some nice horns for the standard cab CSX collection. This will be an ongoing project. Later today, I hope to have a demo video of what I have done so far. If not, hopefully tomorrow. Stay tuned! Great horns are still waiting to be made!

The last NS K5LLA was best. Is there any way to make the K5LLA echo at the end a little bit?

Thanks guys! No. I can not make it echo.

OK. I am taking a few suggestions. Keep it modern and from any of the class I railroads. Don't make it super rare, as these are very hard to find.

imho it seems that the end of horn loop is a little too quick and almost sounds cut off. other than that these are soundin saweet!

So if you think my SD70 sounds wouldn't be prototypical without traction motor sounds (which your wrong about because not every SD70 has loud traction motors), I think you can do a better job of looping the sounds. But I will admit getting good loops, starts and stops are hard to do with horns. I'm just saying.

I really don't know why you took offense to that. Maybe I worded it wrong. But just the same. I didn't say "you could do a better job than that". Besides. I was talking to BUZZ, assuming he was working on the project as well. I know he would have taken it like I originally meant it. Now. Could we please return to the origanal topic I started here? I started this to discuss a horn project I am working on.

I'm not offended, you said it wouldn't be prototypical without traction motor sounds. I was telling you that not every SD70 has loud traction motors, your statement is false. And I'm serious about doing a better blending job with start, loop and end. You did ask; what do you think. But like I said, getting a seamless blend on horns is tough.

New horns coming! They include a few K3LA's for the BNSF Dash 9, some (MUCH NICER than the preview video) NS K5LA's for the NS Dash 9's, and a couple more K5LLA's. Hoping to be able to release V1 by the end of this week!

It is especially hard when you record them at zero speed, high fidelity like I do with my personal horns. Looping them with their warbles, hisses, and changes in pressure really make it a pain in the butt.

OK guys! I got it uploaded and it should be in the file library soon! 33 horns are in the pack! **There are slightly different variations of certain horns** So. once it's up there, post your feedback/comments here and maybe even post a video of your favorites!!
