New Hope Western Railway

This time we take a leap of faith into the past, about the time of the old west.
...
Lol not really. It's set in modern times, but this railway and the society it serves is still based around the Old West. !*roll-laugh*!

That's awesome, Erik! Perfect soundtrack for the rollout demo of this route. What do you think, Noel?

This route idea makes me hear rattlesnakes shaking their rattles. Ha!

I would love to see some tumble weed for Railworks, that's actually one item I need for my 1880's route, Rattlesnake Ridge 1885.

JP you could use the piper tool in 3DC to make a snake (progressively tapering each section). The tumble weed would be interesting... I have some ideas, but I am curious how Dogmouse would approach it.

Wow! Ya'll beat me to the punch! I was thinking I was gonna be be so clever as to make a low poly "cube-ish" tumble weed with two-sided textures, and treat it as though it were a "car" and then create a traffic ribbon for it, ...but Dag Nabbit, you guys!!! Image You stole my thunder!!!!

...actually, ...just kidding ...I wasnt thinking that at all. Great solution, though! ~R

The town would end up with very polite and considerate tumbleweeds!! Ha!!

Historical Backstory:
The New Hope Western Railroad was formed in 1885 to serve sevral towns with a shortline railroad to get supplies in and bring people and products to civilization. It was
jointley owned by the Southern Pacific and The Union Pacific. It separated from both roads in 1940, and was able to become a smaller Class 1 railroad between the two
roads aand serve the states of Nevada and Utah.. By the time 1969 rolled around, they had purchased two GP9s and restored their older 4-4-0 who had escaped the scrapper's
torch by being bought by a railroad preservation group to running condotion. They purchased lots of used and second-hand Boxcars and flatcars from the railroads who had
owned it in the first place, and, little did anyone know, the NHWRR would become the "Biggest Little Class 1 Railroad In The West!"
Now, in 1989, the railroad is still going, and the people it serves are still in the ways of the Old West!

A recent crash led to the erase of the backup and a corruption of the current route. So I have started new. A modern railroad that has towns based on today's country towns.

Lets look at the first train through Laurensville.
