That will be very welcome to Railworks. I always wanted a drivable one of these for on the game.

SP had a couple that very close that one around my parts. Their's was not open in the back, and (my memory here is a bit shaky) they used some sort of canvas that slid back for the doors on the side.

I hope someone will build a shed for that :D

That is a pretty nifty little speeder! All they use around here is what looks like a pickup truck with a service/ utility "box" (you know, with doors to put tools in) and maybe a small hoist on the back.

Hey, you could call that a "speedo" !*roll-laugh*! !*roll-laugh*! !*YAAA*!

We called them "motorcars" around here, originating from the previous "handcar", referring to the manual hand-pump type. Dad drove one a lot when he was a welder... usually with 2 little square "wagons" loaded with various lengths/sizes of rail, welding set, and hand tools. I placed a "motorcar shed" (authentic looking except the doors on my shed have a flaw) at their original locations (torn down during 70's) at Ronceverte and Alleghany with the little tracks into the sheds just hoping someone would eventually build one of these! There was also a longer "club car" version that had 4 seats, all facing forward.

I WANT ONE!

Oddly enough I have those items put aside .. hmmm , also have a potty for wagon #3 *!lol!*

Many different styles of these little trains built in the past , looked lots of pics and found much old info on them .. cheap and fun way to ride the rails if anyones interested in joing an association in the US.

I saw a speeder with a potty... are these things still used somewhere? Mow-torcars went away here long before port-a-potties came about.

Something just crawled out from my old memory banks... am not sure but I think I remember daddy calling those flat cars "trucks"(???). "A motorcar and 5 trucks".... yea, that sounds familiar. When I was just a little thing, I called them "putt-putts"... if you've ever heard one you know why.

Yea, I like that play on words.

would also be nice to see a whole MoW train eventually, for now i guess this nice little speeder is good for transitional age and early diesel age railroading. i have seen a larger version pull a small tie crane that pulls out old ties and replaces them with new ties, also had a spike puller on that one.

I know the speeder at Strasburg has a flathead V8 in it, actually use it and love flying... I mean driving around in it.
