This is the first real info that is about the upcoming NEC route.

Aha! I'm much more familiar with the Swedish version, SJ class Rc4. The "boxy" design was very common on European railways at the time I seem to recall. I also thought the original orange colour scheme suited them better than Amtrak stripes, but that's only personal opinion. ASEA products had a good reputation over in Europe, the company ended up via mergers and takeovers as Bombardier Transportation.

But will they bare the Amtrak Symbol. That is the big question.

I would have thought that the ALP-46 locos would be easily provided with this route too - after all, they're a US-version of the RailWorks default DB Class 101. I'd be interested in those!

And, of course, the beautiful GG1s! Britkits, I can hear you calling!

Speaking of NEC locomotives I found this one: ALP-45DP
It's brand new and will come to the US this year. It's a hybrid locomotive designed to run both on electric and diesel lines.
One of the purchasers is NJ Transit. There is also a purchase from Canada.

Yeah, the design is similar to the German Baureihe 101.

It would be horrible. Question I told RSC that that model looks like the Ac model, but they say it isn't. So I guess that is the L model. What do you think? I can make a better assessment depending on how they do the roof.
