hey Tom, Phil and derek I recommend you order Amtrak's Amtrak Locomotive and Car Diagrams.

Its $9.99 American Dollars. It will be very helpul for your NEC project.

http://www.railfandepot.com/servlet/the ... and/Detail

It includes:

F40PH
P40/P42DC
Amfleet II coaches, Amfleet I Dinette
Viewliner Diner, Viewliner Sleeper Car
Heritage Dining car, Heritage Baggage car
Material Handling Car, Bi-level Auto Carrier (Auto Train!)
...and more

I have a snippet of it on my website, but I'm not going to upload it as it is violating their TOS. So order it and you won't be sorry.

Hi guys,

the AEM7 is looking better and better..:)

I think this DVD could be usefull too.
http://www.pentrex.com/necabdvd.html
or this:
http://www.pentrex.com/nec12dvd.html

I recommend this to everyone, who like passenger trains running under wires.
I'm not die hard Amtrak fan, but I like the second DVD. It reminds me many hours on NEC in MSTS long time ago. So I'm looking forward to run on NEC again in RW.
And if this AEM7 will be in same datail and realism as latest dmu (by oovee.uk), it WILL BE real pleasue to play with.

They are probably the actuating and main reservoir equalising pipes. The labels are probably abbreviations of these.

That dvd is out of date. That was from the 80s no good for what they are trying to do. the nec has had massive changes since most noticeably before the Acela Express came onto the scene.

Hi all,

Don't suppose anyone has details/photos of this area of the cabin? As I only have low res pictures at an awkward angle.

Any help would be great.

Phil I don't think there are any cab shots left that haven't already been posted. No idea how much of a deadline you guys are on, or your relationship with Amtrak but if Paul can pull some strings with them I'd travel to get proper detailed cab shots. Mostly likely be in Deleware where Amtraks main shop is and not a far travel. It is really the only solutuon to get proper in cab details. Unless Amtrak themselves are willing to send them to you. *!lol!*

Maybe T.C. at Facebook can help you. He lives near the NEC and is a real enthusiast when it comes to the NEC.
I think he has already provided some pics for other projects to you via email.

Love Trainiac productions videos. I think it's just one guy but he puts some grade-a videos together and his voiceover work is informative, good story telling, and more importantly he knows when to shutup and let the video do the talking.

Hi,

Sorry I haven't posted lately. I've been on holiday *!lol!*

Heres a current work in progress of the cabin......all dark and moody still. Don't worry though, it'll get fixed *!lol!*
