The second link is dead. I ran out of pics to show. I still can't find any pics of the back.
Its your turn tim.

Oh I just found another Photo but this one shows an AEM7 with no Monitor so I think this maybe the older AEM7 that didn't get rebuilted on the inside. So yu havetwo cabviews you can do. This photo date was March 2011.

Hey phil can you you repaint the AEM7 that you do now into all three phases? Phase III, Phase IV and of course the current one Phase V (Acela).

Hi guys!

Just a quick introduction and query.

My name's Tom and I work with RSPhil at RailSimulator.com as an artist. We're currently working on the AEM-7, and it's certainly coming together now!

My question is regarding the lamps atop each cab end. Primarily what is their purpose and function? Do they flash? Do they rotate light beams, or are they just simply switched on? We're trying to get the model to work as closely as the real thing, so any help would be appreciated. !!*ok*!!

Those are strobe lights that flash when turned on. I will find a video in a second don't go no where.

I have a question about the Pantos, What will be the wire height you are going to set for these AEM-7s or any other American E-Loco for that matter?

There are different ways of the strobe flashing. Pick your choice, but the main use for them is to help signal others that the train is departing.

Hi stmbuzz,

For the OLE height we had a number of varying measurements for the NEC ranging from 5.7m to 7.4m so we went for the middle ground putting the height at 6.64m

Those videos are very helpful and answer all of my questions. I'll talk to our tech gurus about the lights, along with the flashing ditch lights I saw requested earlier, and see what we can produce. :D

ok great and thanks for answering my question. Post the the lights when you have scripted them so we can take a look at them further. Oh btw, the ditchlights don't only flash, they can stay on as well. Its up to the driver. They flash when the train is going over a crossing, station, etc.

It could be done by using the F key like the strobe in the SW1500 pack was done.

By the way: Welcome to RWA Tom. I find it very good that you developers want feedback and help from us. This way we can (nearly) please everybody. !*cheers*!

EDIT: Have you changed the trucks again? I miss the bell. In an earlier shot by Phil they were on the trucks. !*don-know!*

I'm almost positive it's present and is simply out of view, but I'll double check first thing tomorrow when I get into the office.

Looks to be missing some horns , only 1set visible in your pics .

Do you plan on adding the correct coupler ?

Looks great!

My only thought is the cab door windows are a bit too tall?

I agree with g_nash you are missing a set of horns on the opposite side. Both sets of horns are diagonal to each other. So if you have one on the right side the other is on the left side so from your first photo the first set is on the right side so you need another set on the opposite side on the left.

I also wondering will you tint those windows a bit to make it tough to see inside. It just looks unnatural to see clearly into the cab from the outside.
