I'm on high speed too, cable modem at 12 Mbs (1.5 MBs), but even with it, if you don't have the image already cached in your browser it takes time to load it, and since I have Firefox set to clear the cache every time I close it, I have to wait each time for the image to load, but that's my problem. *!rolleyes!*
I don't think there's any dial-up users here, but I'm guessing that DSL users probably have to wait a bit longer for the image to load. 'Course, I haven't heard of anyone complaining about it, so what do I know. !*don-know!* !*roll-laugh*!
I'm not saying you have to convert to jpg. It's your choice. I'll just keep moving on to the next thread. !*salute*!

You're not the only one. Most folks that post linked to images never convert them, so please don't feel like I'm singling you out. I just felt like saying something. !*cheers*!

I think it took about the same for me, maybe a little less, but I'm just not long on patience just to see a screenshot. *!greengrin!*
jpg's load so much faster, but you do have to also consider the connection from your computer to the hosting site. Sometimes that can add greatly to the time, especially if the hosting site is a bit busy, as is the case most times with Imageshack and sometimes Photobucket. Then there's some sites out there that are even worse.

Of Marble

Unread postby Paragon » Tue Jul 26, 2011 10:47 pm

I love the UK and German routes with the endless miles of lovely green countrysides. Such a rich assortment of trees and grasses and such! How many people did that take to place each flower in what is clearly the exact place?

It's safe to say, there are no dafodils in Panamint Valley, and I am quickly running out my of primary paints: rock. Upcoming canyons are Alice in Wonderland places of nearly absurd colors, and so we had to learn how to reskin to make progress.

Now, I am not fond of this particular red. But it does prove the concept. And I can now use pictures of the area for more accurate reference.

We then leave it to TS 2012 to render it in utter beauty!

When I get my box of colored rocks together, I will publish it freely for all. I will be reskinning a lot of formations, and removing moss where needed. I see a dark red, a brick red, a green, an orange, a moody blue-gray, and something medium brown. I will also make stone grays of everything. I am going to need a dumptruck.
