That's the screenshot, the blur isn't 3d projected like a logo would be. The thing to hope would be that they get a deal & they're branded at all ( not that that would stop anything longer than a couple more hours... ).

The logo blurs were added by RSC.

If you have comments about this loco concerning something you think I've gotten wrong, please PM me here or at the web site with the specifics. Otherwise they'll just get lost here.

No requests for alternate paint schemes or variations at this time, please. I may do some later on, depending on how well the locomotive is received. Also, I welcome the work of repainters. I get a lot of requests about that, so it's about time I put something on the web site, including specific how-to instructions. In brief, my repaint policy is completely open. As far as I'm concerned no problems as long as you don't upload the "critical" files.

Oh, and yes, the horn, bell and engine rumble are all P42DC.

Now officially announced! - Comes with Superliners!

From http://gtraxsims.com/:

"G-TraX has teamed up with DigitalTrainModel to bring you a superb new set of Amtrak trains.

DigitalTrainModel is a provider of add-ons for RailWorks, featuring the craftsmanship of Cesar "Mannu" Pach. Although Cesar lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he is a big fan of US railroading and he's putting together an outstanding set of Amtrak Superliner cars. These passenger cars are primarily of the Superliner I design, which were built by Pullman-Standard and delivered to Amtrak between 1978 and 1981. The set includes a Baggage Coach, Coach, Dining car, Sightseer car, Sleeper and even a Superliner II Transition Sleeper. The models are highly detailed and meticulously painted. Each car includes an interior passenger view, unique audio effects, and scripted brake-status lights.
(...)
The model includes a custom 360° cab with numerous, extensively scripted operating and cab-environment controls. Features include flashing ditch (crossing) lights, horn sequencer, combined power/dynamic brake handle, as well as a pair of information displays with digital/analog speedometer and other animated indicators. The audio package incorporates live recordings of a P42DC engine-generator, its bell and its distinctive Nathan K5LA horn. Liveries include the present-day Phase V "blue wave" scheme with dynamic numbering, and a special 40th anniversary Phase III "tri-stripe" paint scheme, numbered 145.

The locomotives and passenger cars will be released as a single package in late August, 2011. Further details will be announced as plans are finalized."

I keep on watching the video. I just want to kick back and ride in that observation car all day.

BTW whats the longest route we have available now?

I need to do a bit more research but if the coaches match up, this is what I will be repainting for my route:

RailWorks really does need an Auto-engineer, for those times where you just want to RIDE a train, instead of drive one.

I noticed the P42 doesn't seem to have any textures for the glass (when viewed externally), while the cars seems to have really nice shine effects.

Any way to get reflective external glass on the P42 windshield glass like there is on the passenger cars?

Thanks for doing the P42, one of my favorites!! Looking great so far.

Why does it look like the glass is different? Smoother, I guess? The nose looks different? Either way, I like the black nose and the stripes better. Sharp looking locomotive. !!*ok*!!

Looking at it more, you sure that's not a different loco? Look at the rake of the windows in front. !*don-know!*
