Well, often on mountains and cliffs, the grades were usually steeper. So it will have the trickier steeper grade and of course, the track would seem somewhat bumpy since it's placed on the side of a mountain.
And often, the decent was equally as dangerous. They did have some somewhat steep decent's and tight turns. After all, that's why in the 19th century there were so many train crashes up in the mountains.
Sometimes the engineer would lose his life because of a rock slide, or the weakened cliff would give away from erosion. And sometimes, the old wood bridges would simply fail. When that wasn't happening, sometimes there were derailments.
I could say this route won't be a easy one, it will be tricky to get your engine through the mountains and then to the last town on the line.
Also, how does my mountain painting look. Later I hope to put some brush weed on the mountains. And hopefully someone will make some freeware cactuses like these, as of right now these are the only thing I'm missing because no one has made any. Which we need for a route designed like Arizona.
