Well after some discussing with Harry, I was trying to figure out a way to get black on white heralds and logos off of a .pdf and into Train Sim.
6 hours on Saturday and 11 hours today. I done do it!

The herald got a wee bit distorted when i made a slight sizing adjustment. (its a little wide). If someone wants to tell me how to get the dern numbers on ... it would be appreciated.

Some times it just worth waiting to the end of the train.

Which model are you working with? Knowing that would help. Also if your herald is a bit wide that is adjustable in Paint.Net by changing the ratio in a image.

Mr Michael Stephans. It also appears, all the .geo and TcPcDx files are all in the same folder. I thought I saw direction somewhere. Also are there any freeware with sealed roller bearings? Last, I didn't expect to start doing this stuff now.

I think that one you made is based off of the Boxcar_50ft_PRR-X50 or 58?

I should know better and be specific.

I will be happy to make the bin up for you if you like however here is the default bin. There are two places I underlined. The first one refers to what numbers are assigned in the dcsv file. This can be opened with notepad and the numbers changed to whatever you want.
<NumberingList>
<cCSVContainer>
<CsvFile d:type="cDeltaString">GreatNortherner\Allegheny\RailVehicles\Freight\Boxcar_50ft_PS1\Default\50ft-PS1-default_nmbr</CsvFile>
</cCSVContainer>
</NumberingList>

The second place is here. Michael provides a whole bunch of different fonts to use for numbering. This calls out futura-white numbers.
</iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID>
</BlueprintSetID>
<BlueprintID d:type="cDeltaString">RailVehicles\Freight\Boxcar_50ft_PS1\Numbers\Digits_futura-white.xml</BlueprintID>
</iBlueprintLibrary-

I included the file with the proper places underlined. I trust you renamed the bin you are working with to the proper box car. Like I said if you need some help with this give me a shout.

Buzz - you are really helpful, I would be proud to hold your beer for you.
So the xml points the subfiles, I get that.

CsvFile d:type="cDeltaString">GreatNortherner\Allegheny\RailVehicles\Freight\Boxcar_50ft_PS1\Default\50ft-PS1-default_nmbr</CsvFile>
This points to 50ft_PSI_default.nmber.dcsv (which points to a pool a numbers it will draw from)

<BlueprintID d:type="cDeltaString">RailVehicles\Freight\Boxcar_50ft_PS1\Numbers\Digits_futura-white.xml</BlueprintID>
This points to Digits_futura-white.xml I see that.

I just renamed the 50ft-PS1-Default.bin to 50ft-PS1-ELRR.bin because it makes sense and all is still working.

In route editor I place the car, double-click and see the correct number underneath the load/unload button. What I dont see are the numbers on either side of the car. I also do NOT see the infamous missing texture message. So, as in my pictures, its blank where numbers should be. Of course, I will want to change the look of the numbers, and hopefully move the number field lower and to the right. (god willing). *!lol!*

WAIT JUST ONE MINUTE. uh people are lazy, particularly programmers! I have ONLY downloaded the PS-1 50ft Boxcars and NOT the PS-1 40ft Boxcars or the 50ft Modern. What if there is a dependency from the 40 or 50 footers. I notice also that the numbers on Harry's Box Cars don't show. If this is true, then the base model not configured properly. Each model should have everything it needs. I see files labled 40ft-PS1-child-door-Y-6-9ft.bin - I was wondering why it was there.

Took 5 hours to get box and hoppers installed. 50 ft PS1 base was corrupt and the base 40 ft PS1 was out of date by 2 years.

Holy uh ... Smokes. Are these things even worth working with at this point?
How did you fix the corruption?
I see numbers !

With the 40 ft PS1 I downloaded the base file from the Great Northerner site and re installed the revised files dated 2013. My back up was from 2011.
In the base 50 ft PS1 I re installed the files from my back up of the base file. The 50 ft modern had no issues. Also note that the caboose is a re paint by Buzz from a Feather River file.
The engine is a GP 9 re paint with base from RSC.

James - I am still on beating my head against the wall. I uninstalled on the GreatNortherner/Allegheny assets, then started over. I removed my model and went for clean installs, went to a simple one track route, and loaded only the GreatNortherner Asset
-Installed: http://golden-age-rails.com/packsrw/boxps150.html
Result: Complete Cars Still no numbers
Went here: http://golden-age-rails.com/packsrw/box40ps1.html
-Installed: http://golden-age-rails.com/packsrw/box40ps1.html (this is required pack - so it says)
Result: Got a Pdf, a new folder called "trucks" inside were 2 bin files with 33in bolsters. Still No Numbers
-Installed: Download the Repaint Kit Pack http://golden-age-rails.com/freerw/rail ... efault.zip
says its includes Five ready to run cars in PRR colors and all Child Objects for Repainters.
Result: Yes 40 ft PS1s on the selection list in editor, checked the 4 - 50ft PS1s, they show up, still no numbers.
Perhaps I have to construct the 40ft PS1s first.

Hers the deal. So lets say I repaint this model and put it up. Some NEW guy comes along and says "yay, a nice EL model for there Bergen" he gets nothing but the sadz after hours of trying. I have been working on this for 2.5 hours with no result. This is my Route Build box and it is
C L E A N, totally stock, nothing modded (except for my repaint) * I read the instructions, followed the instructions and I aint go no Numbers

And you, friend have backups from 8 years ago and it took you 5 hours.

Last I will try the http://golden-age-rails.com/packslegacy ... ight1.html on the legacy page and see how that goes, or it goes.
Result: A pack of Modern Cars with Numbers.

I really wanted the 50ft PS1s to work and that was the one I repainted.

What a pain to get rolling stock!

you have the correct D/L for the 40 ft (PRR).
I used the following for the 50 ft 50ft-PS1_Installer.rwp
The numbers folder in the 50ft PS1 is different than the one provided by the rwp. I have no idea where it came from. Perhaps from a payware item from Great Northerner.

I get the numbers OK with the 40 footer but I'll be doggone if I can get the numbers to show up in the 50 footer.

I decided to cease work on that 50 footer. I had other issues with the kit for repainters, so I am deconstructing another model. I am fully committed to putting up a repaint at this point - because I don't quit! *!greengrin!*

the " 50 ft-PS1-default.bin" or something similar seems to be missing.
The modern 50 ft also shows the original 6 digit number and a 5 digit number.
