Ah, never saw that before. Looked over that, and I must say it helped me to understand the process a bit better. Thanks for the helpful info! While I can't shell out $80 for 3Dcrafterpro, I'm glad to see that Blender will also work. Thanks, Harrison.

New/unposted areas being finished up and/or under construction:

Most of the route will be dark but there are a few signals operational from the days of Class 1 railroading.

The Aspinwall Wye. A former branch off to a mine in the Ore fields to the north. Now used to wye the excursion trains and for storage.

The bare section in the middle of the wye in the above shot will be the home of the Trackside Tavern when I can get someone to model it. Still workin on gettin decent pics to model it after though.

Looking good. Can you perhaps get a better picture of the sign for the building I'm modeling for you? I can't find any straight on shots.

working my way west, got a sand quarry goin' and a small yard exclusive to the quarry. Gonna paint up some cars to go with it. Don't know what I want to do though; Open hoppers, gondolas, or covered hoppers? Whatay'all think would be best?

I vote gondolas, and also the updated pics are great.

Gon's it is! This and a random poll on Omegle helped me decide what to use. I posed two questions there: Covered Hopper, Gondola, or Open Hopper? and for more HLRR power (since sand loads are terribly heavy) GP38-2, SD40-2, or SW1500?

Gondola's took it in a landslide (though people had no idea what I was talking about, gondolas got 31 which ended up being more than twice the total votes the other two got)

SD40's edged out SW1500's by a narrow margin and people actually started looking them up. And I had one write in vote of a GP40-2W, so someone on there is a railfan and/or railroad employee.

So here's two new SD40-2's switching some sand hoppers around, will start the gondolas later today. I (loosely) based the logo off the CN North America logo.

some more progress. Workin' on making Americas Dairyland live up to it's name. Modern dairy farms are hard with these assets though, so keepin' it old school for now.

What would you need to make it modern?

Would need some realistic silos, a nice rake of different sized barns to choose from, and some tractors and other farm vehicles. Pete Bauer made some good barns, but they need proper night and winter textures. Anyways, these are more what I'm going at dairy wise. The same asset needs would pass on crop oriented farms too.

Once I finish the main building for you, I can whip up some low detail barns in a jiffy!

Unfortunately, Pete is no longer with us so he won't be able to update his work. *!sad!*
