The funny thing is, the original cab is almost black everywhere. I wonder who choose to do this?
Darth Vader (and the Emperor also) would be pleased. *!lol!*

Good work on the cab Phil. Can't wait to see some other angles and the cab finished.

Its like being in the pilot seat of the Deathstar Lmao! A nerd reference!!!!!!!!!!!!

But it looks so greta. Looking Great! Will the instruments be digital? Plus have you guys decided if you going to release some stock early like the Amfleets for others to play with early? I know Paul has been dancing around this, but I wanted to see if anything has been concluded.

Its the Henry Ford approach to cabs. You can have any color you want, as long as its black. *!!wink!!*

AFAIK, it's nation wide, and will last a month, with a touring train museum going from coast to coast.

Union Station in Los Angeles is gonna be a mad house, so I'll pass on that photo op. (besides, I work Saturday nights)

BUT, there is a little known train museum near me, kinda hidden on a side street: http://www.lomita-rr.org/ I may take a stroll over on Saturday morning and see what they have going on. !!*ok*!!

Hi all!

I'm getting there! *!lol!*

As you know reference hasn't been easy for us on this one.

I've stuck green labels everywhere. If anyone knows any names or details of each switch, knob, button etc.. that would be really helpful.

This pic should help with a few labels.

Here is one up close you can make out some of the labels.

This photo should help you to see what is on the display Monitor. The Monitor on the left side of the cab should be blank as it isn't really used.

Your skills are more than incredible. Well done. I can't wait to take a seat inside Darth's helmet. *!!wink!!*

EDIT: One fault Phil: It seems to me that the size of the radio unit in the middle under the buttons is too small. In stmbuzz's pics it's nearly 8 buttons large.
