Time to let the cat out of the bag.

You already knew that a Genesis will come this year, but now it's official.
RSC has said that they will show some first pictures today.

Also have a look here: http://railworksamerica.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2629

I think I can tell you that it's done by Rick (G-TraX), is in an advanced stage and looks and sounds awesome.

FINALLY! This is a much needed and long awaited locomotive, at least I know I've been hoping for one, now we just wait for LordMannu's superliners and we got some cross country passenger service :)

I wonder if my links and photos posted on my site helped at all. I know that 360 degree view does wonders!

The only thing i suggest is the wipers be set in the upwards position. Amtrak has them that way to prevent or help prevent the driver's vision of stuff like signs from being obstructed.

You might want to crop your first shot a bit, there's something creeping in on the left... :p

Unless that's a RSC shot, in which case they're teases...

Ok that disproves what i said.

I hope Rick can do an engine script for the P40 variant as well.

Very nice loco! I just hope RSC is blurring out the Amtrak Logo in the screenshots, and not the loco itself.

Sorry, but NO. *!sad!*
Currently it always indicates yellow. (Maybe RSC does a cabsignla script for the NEC?)

Yellow is prototype for the PRR (Note Amtrak has upgraded the NEC signals with green, yellow, and red bulbs see my post in the NEC thread). PRR signal aspects had only yellow light positions.

On the right side (of the cab signal box) are signals for normal (searchlight, Safetran, etc) signals, so the locomotive can run over any cab signaled territory, on ex PRR tracks, modern day UP, CSX, or any other route that needs them. Also for reference not all P42DC's have cab signals. Not sure the number series on which don't.

EDIT: They are yellow on the cab signal box, not white that I had mentioned above, but since deleted for clarity): http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.p ... 16&nseq=10

This cab signal box is good for the RF&P (CSX), Conrail (PRR), Amtrak (NEC), I.C.G., and UP:

Whatever the route the locomotive is running the conductor would turn the nob to the railroad and lock it in place with a pin.
