Sherman Hill C45AC-CTE Improvement Open Beta Test.

I'll be posting some changes in physics, (brakes wise), and some sounds changes on this thread for open community beta. If deemed positive, I will forward the changes to RSC. (perhaps I will wait a bit while other members figure out logarithmic throttle curves versus the standard linear)
But I'll be posting the sound changes in a bit.

You guys will get a kick out of the other thing I'm working on too, I'm working on my 710 sounds for the SD70Ms too. I think as far as sounds go on the C45, its all good. Once I confer with Adam a bit more about how I can get traction motor sounds in that vary with Amperage and speed, I'll work on that, then post the beta here.

This will be an awesome addition to an already awesome route!

I am afraid the non-lineair operation of throttle and dynamic brake handles are out of the question for the moment. RSC's lua interpretation is supposedly very flaky and hardly documented. The advanced maths functions are probably not even applied, and I don't know how to debug the running lua interpreter.
If the array function works I can try to map handle positions to the control value using a table but that would only work for discrete throttle positions, while a proper formula would work for anything in between.
I am more interested in control stand logic, i.e. the right way of operating the handles and a script to gradually chance prime mover rpm in response to resistor grid current.

I don't think the linear action of throttle and dynamic brake is that much of a problem due to the fact that TE and DB are not calculated at all but taken from those dcsv tables.

BTW: what is wrong with the EQ display in the SDIS? Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It displays the equalizing reservoir pressure, which in the working cases had the same value as the main reservoir pressure in the readout to the right of it. So applying the brakes at least had the values change.

I'm not sure what is up with the EQ Res, but its quirky with the SD70M too. Speaking of the SD70M: http://youtu.be/VzpYQTcd8kM?hd=1

Patience. I have a few things I want to try out on the GEVO. Primarily; low idle in neutral, high idle when fwd or reverse, like the Class 70. Same with the SD70. then they both will come out.

Alright, so I'm still working on the Neutral throttle code, but this project has not died! I will prevail! :D

Still here, the office has me working on a few other projects, and since we're wrapping things up for the fiscal year as well, deadlines get tighter.
Hope you understand!
