Some more freeware locomotive enhancements. Once some re-paint packs have the same name I'm providing both the re-paint and enhancement links. I'll keep this first post updated with upcoming new enhancements for re-painted SD40-2 (based on TS2012 Default).

*** Features ***

1) Modified: Headlights (210m and 400m range) and Rear lights.
2) Added: Cab lights, Tail (Dim) lights, Number Display lights, Step lights and Conductor.
3) Modified: Cab and Head Out views.
4) Added trackside animated figures.
5) One free-roam scenario on "Barstow to San Bernardino" Route:
"Show Case SD40-2 Liverie at night" for you test and see the power of pack.

Use F6 to see the names of engines.
I suggest you to ride the eastbound 'To Pink Tower' engine, and close to the Tower ride the westbound 'To Helendale' consist (a heavy consist with a helper engine) back to 'Helendale Siding 2'.

Wait, do I have to download all those packs seperate? This is what confuses me most about RW is all the asset hunting. Maybe I'll pass on this.

Thanks, Doc, for these enhancements. You know you have essentially given most of your LEP away for free?

For me, this isn't the end of my tinkerings with the engines. I like to combine the best parts of your work with the TNT scripts and emitter enhancements from another proficient bin hacker. Having good looks thanks to the wonderful repaints of late, physics, lights, sounds and smokes makes driving an engine a pleasure. I can do without the smells of exhaust, spilled fuel, hot grease and tobacco spit, obviously.

all, only of US diesels LEP has 13 engines in 44 liveries (not counting these freeware). Don't worry, I'm not I'm having fun working with these enhancements and hope you'll have also, playing with the engines enhanced (with sounds, physics, couplers, smokes etc. as well) is really such different of seeing pics! and that's what I would like you feel also. Tomorrow will freecome the enhancements of ES44AC re-paints of yesterday by MontanaRails and X Driver, I'm just tweaking them, testing the freeroams... there is a long and boring "behind the scenes" part of any work, like making/checking that thingy that no one reads (me).
