40ft Flatcars, Updated and now with Truss-Rod Model too

Hi,

In preparation for RW3 I just packaged an updated version of my 40ft flatcar model. It has received a substantial update, with new trucks, new textures, new couplers -- and a new 3rd model for each of the three railroads (GN, NH, DRGW): a early 20th century truss-rod frame flatcar running on archbar trucks.

There are three installer packages (RWP) for these flatcar packs, one per road name, which also serves as an update should you already have the old version installed. Just run the new installer and it will overwrite the old models. All scenarios using the old models will work as before.

will the modern boxcars still work? I have not installed them in 2012 yet. it's the one with the gondola car.

Hi,

Modern Boxcars/Gondola: I'm working on these too. Basically all of my models, especially the older ones have quite a strong specular setting, which in RW3 is being rendered MUCH stronger now, so they will shine like crazy, esp. in bright sunny conditions.

Just a little follow-up, I just uploaded another small small update to these models to my website. This should now (hopefully) be the final version of the models.

There is another small RWP file that will update the trucks/wheels textures a bit. Install this after installing the RW3 updated main packages (see second link):
