B36/C36 repaints (NS big 7s)

Unread postby spartantrain32 » Thu Feb 04, 2021 11:06 am

I had some originally done, but had lost it when moving some things. Nevertheless, i get to use alot of what i learned to make it better. Feedback is welcomed. First up is Conrail B36. :)

*edit - while the handrails appear black, i promise they are blue. shading makes them look black

wow that looks really nice! If i could give some constructive criticism, maybe adding some red spots where the class lights would be, the edge of the walkway in the front should be black, not blue, the blue could be a bit darker and a bit of weathering would really do wonders to this! I've been waiting for someone to make a CR version of this loco, very excited to try it out!

Looks great! Some weathering would really make it pop. !!*ok*!!

This is a very solid and good model to repaint off of. The U34CH is based of the model and scripting of this guy and so I am familiar with it. Its up to you how detailed you want to go with the paint, but that always adds to the ambiance or running it. In this case I use 4 axels for local switching on my route so usually have lots of up close and personal time when I am playing brakeman. Dirt is pretty much mandatory - the cab should be filthy as well.

No issues for me with the color - its always tricky to match. Your paint, logos and numbers all look solid and I would like to run this on the Bergen!

Have fun with it!

Having just bought the Big 7s this Christmastime I'm gonna have a good time with these.

A small update.

Darkened it slightly, and added the class lights *(note that they dont function, but they are there)*

Check this picture out.

Your texturing is superb, I think you can go all the way!
