Canadian Pacific F7's

Unread postby buzz456 » Wed Apr 29, 2020 3:01 pm

I first painted this back in 2016. When I went back and looked at it because of some interest I decided I wasn't happy with the colors. As I was looking around at some pictures I spotted some of them with script on the sides so I thought why not while I'm at it. You will need the Feather River Route for these locomotives however this is one of the more attractive paint schemes ever done on this old warhorse. I should get them uploaded by this weekend. Thanks to QCRail for some suggestions on the colors and a few other technical details.

Wow, they look beautiful. One of my favourite paint schemes and will look great coming out of Field BC. Thanks for doing these. :D

Thanks Buzz: When you first did the one I thought it might be a little too brownish. I appreciated your work and even made an attempt to change the color. Mine didn't look any better so I gave up. This one is right on the money. Just like I remember them when I was young. !*brav*! **!!bow!!** !!*ok*!! !*cheers*!

Looks like your big text on the side there is noticeably crooked there... !!det!! !*roll-laugh*!

Not bad otherwise.

Turns out the script was running uphill. The template I used was doing that. Fixed now.

Hey Buzz: I really like these repaints they look really nice but I can't seem to get the headlight and horn to operate. All your other F7 models work ok and use the NS horn mod just fine. any advise.

Pete ,
You say the horn and light work on the others. The horn is exactly the same on all of them I think. I looked at the loco bin file and part of the headlight glow is aliased to the GMO Red loco. My bad. Do you have that one? Which ones do you have? Maybe I can find a difference there.
