ACL Lightweight Passenger

These models are Atlantic Coast Line Railroad repaints of the freeware G-TraX 4-Pack Lightweight Passenger Cars. The G-TraX pack is available in the Railworks America file library. They are appropriate for the Miami route in the 1970’s.

Run the RW_AssetSetup file to install the models. In the scenario editor, they are listed as: ACL_Ltwt_Baggage, ACL_Ltwt_Coach01, ACL_Ltwt_Diner01, ACL_Ltwt_Sleeper0, and ACL_Ltwt_Sleeper02. The models are installed into: Assets\G-TraX\Trains\RailVehicles\ Passenger\ACL_Lightwt\.

In the summer of 1952, ACL operated three daily streamliners: the East Coast Champion, West Coast Champion and the every-third-day Dixie Flagler, City of Miami and South Wind. In all there were six named through trains from the Northeast and six more from the Midwest to Florida. I grew up in Brundidge, AL, and spent my summers at the Depot. Since I knew most of the railroad crewmen, I had several invitations to ride in the cab of the Montgomery section of the Champion (with my parent's permission). Those were great days to be a kid.

This package is released as freeware. You can do whatever you wish with it EXCEPT make money with its use.
